If you want to advertise with us, please use BANNER ADVERTISING or LINK YOUR WEBSITE TO US and your banner ad or web link will appear on this page.

There are many companies that provide background check. Some may charge a per check fee and some a yearly membership and you can perform as many checks as you want.

Certain professions or license requirements are to obtain a FBI background screening additionally to the one from your state. Governmental licensing or employment agencies covered by federal laws and/or state statutes may ask that you submit an application, fee and fingerprint card to their office and they will submit it to FBI. We provide you with a link to FBI official website but you should always contact the agency requiring the fingerprinting or the appropriate state identification bureau for the correct procedures to follow.

This link will be most helpful to independent contractors( private duty aides, in home hairedressers or nail technicians, housekeepers, child or pet sitters, etc) and/or their future customers. We always ecourage you to have a recent background check available for your customer/employer. We strongly encourage the general public to screen any in-home service provider.

What is a Background Check?

AA background checkcheck is aa way to find information about someone that may not be readily available. Individuals and institutions choose to conduct background checks for aa whole host of reasons. Background checks are conducted through third party institutions and are meant to provide aa picture of an individual's character based on past actions and records. Background checks reveal information about an individual's professional, financial, criminal, and public history. They include everything from speeding tickets to time spent in jail, bankruptcy to employment history.

When you apply for a job, there is a good chance that your prospective employer will perform a background check in order to look into your professional and criminal record. If you had seven different jobs within the last tax year, your employer may wonder if you are a good candidate who will stick with the job. Furthermore, a background check will reveal your criminal record. Many employers are wary of hiring individuals with any kind of a criminal record. Job applications have a section to discuss your criminal record. It is important to be honest here as your employer will likely find out about your record anyway. When applying for a job that will allow you to work with children, a background check is necessary to prove that you have never committed a crime against a minor.

Some landlords also use background checks before allowing individuals to rent apartments and houses. Individual people may also do background check on others for personal reasons.
